Welch Industries supplies hose and conversion kits for R-134A and/or R-22 refrigerants for most motor coaches.  With today's price of R-12, it is advisable to change as soon as practical.  Our hoses are compatible with ALL oils and refrigerants so that a future change can be made without problems.

R-134A is the choice for most applications formerly using R-12, and gives good cooling IF DONE PROPERLY. MCI 96 & 102 Coaches from 1985 & up can use R-22 very effectively. Please call for kit prices.

If coach has exceptionally good Aeroquip 1540 hose or equivalent, you can use R-134A alone without problems.  Our advice is to change hose anyway, then a mixture of R-134A and R-22 can be used to enhance cooling capacity.  Information is available so that good mechanics can make this conversion without problems.

COMPLETE KITS for change include all hoses (Stainless Steel except for some of the smaller sizes, which are a nylon core hose compatible with all oils and refrigerants).  All O-rings, pre-set expansion valves, sight glass gaskets, fitting adapters and filter-drier, along with complete instructions are included so there is no guess work.  Refrigerant and oil are sold separately.
